This project, totaling over 72,000 Sq. Ft., includes the demolition and conversion of the former Wheels Inn Resort and Wild Zone in Chatham, ON, into a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The project includes the conversion of 120 guestrooms including the creation of new executive suites. The existing main 10-storey tower will receive façade renovations including the addition of EIFS, decorative crown moldings and banding to re-brand the facility. Also included in the project is a guest pool addition and a welcome experience addition that will be comprised of the reception and waiting areas, administration offices, business centre, large meeting rooms, a themed games room, a great room and breakfast room that will feature fireplaces and waterfall features. The site work includes the creation of a new grand approach with a beautifully detailed “porte cochere” for client drop off and extensive landscaping.
