Antonino’s Original Pizza, one of Windsor’s best-known food establishments, will soon be moving into a larger new building just next door to its current South Windsor location.
Designed by Archon Architects, a first floor of about 2,200 square feet will encompass the kitchen, take-out area and self-serve dining-in space, with seating for about 25 patrons. The two-storey structure will include a residential unit on the second floor.
The new Antonino’s will be designed to have “the feel of an old Italian trattoria,” said Ciaravino. The aim is to give customers a view of the open concept kitchen so they can watch their pizzas being made. “My parents always did it that way, so that’s the way we do it,” he added.
“Previous clients had raved about working with Rosati. A friend who is a restaurateur told me Rosati was the best contractor he ever worked with, and he has been through a lot of projects. We heard nothing but great things.”
