Responsibilities

Architectural designing, drafting/detailing including but not limited to:

  • Preparation and production of Architectural and/or structural based drawings such as:
    • Architectural Site Plans
    • Architectural Floor Plans, Reflective Ceiling, Roof Plans and details
    • Building cross-sections and details
    • Room, Door and Window Schedules
    • Steel roof framing plans, Wall framing elevations
    • Foundation plans
  • Review and coordinate all drawings to ensure that all working drawings comply with the strict
    standards and criteria of the Ontario Building Codes, by-laws and appropriate building
    techniques and practices.
  • Coordinate any revisions/mark-ups of working drawings.
  • Liaison with sales, estimating, and project management departments, as required for the
    purpose of preparing working drawings.

Skill Requirements

Successful applicant will have minimum 5-7 years’ experience.

  • Strong organizational skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the O.B.C. a must.
  • Must have high knowledge and skills with drawing application programs in AutoCad and/or Architectural Desktop. Revit and “BCIN Designation would be considered an asset.
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to check documents/drawings for accuracy, communicate detailed changes and ensure corrections are made across several drawings and building
    systems.
